چکیده
This article introduces a novel conceptualization of democratic resilience - two-stage process where democracies avoid declines altogether or avert breakdown given that such autocratization is ongoing. Drawing on the Episodes Regime Transformation (ERT) dataset, we find have had high level to onset since 1900. Nevertheless, has become substantially weaker end Cold War. Fifty-nine episodes sustained and substantial in practices occurred 1993, leading unprecedented 36 regimes. Ominously, once begins, only one five manage breakdown. We also analyse which factors are associated with each stage resilience. The results suggest more resilient when strong judicial constraints executive present institutions were past. Conversely adding nuance literature, economic development autocratization, not against begun.

Saccades represent decisions, and the study of their latency has led to a neurally plausible model of the underlying mechanisms, LATER (Linear Approach to Threshold with Ergodic Rate), that can successfully predict reaction time behavior in simple decision tasks, with fixed instructions. However, if the instructions abruptly change, we have a more complex situation, known as task switching. Psy...

From this ...
